The Tunnel

We were finally able to take a trip to the new IKEA without it being CRAZY busy!! We got there a little early but it was worth it. That place is amazing. So many things for the home and so inexpensive!
We got Ethan a tunnel for his playroom. He tried it out the other morning and LOVES it. We find him in the tunnel, in the playroom, all by himself as if he's playing hide n seek. LOL! We also finally got him a table and chairs and some misc. toys.

Adventures in side walk chalk

We went to the dollar store yesterday with "Grape" Nana and picked up some side walk chalk. I wish I would have picked some up sooner. Ethan thought it was the coolest thing to doddle on the walk way:)
He's a pro at drawing straight lines

Running away with the props, the evidence is on his butt!
He's caught!!! Look at that smile:)
What a thoughtful, loving little boy! Great penmanship too:)
He gets the paper too.........
Ohhhhh he can't wait to read it!
This is where he sits back, relaxes and enjoys juice while reading the paper :)

Special Moment and Ethan's Future

First, I'd like to start out by sharing a very special moment Ethan and I had this morning. Reminder...I'm a little emotional, I'm 8 months pregnant:)

I was getting Ethan ready so that we could go walk this morning. As I picked him up from the changing table he didn't let go. He hugged me so tight and for so long, I melted. He let go, looked at me, smiled and hugged me longer. At this point the tears were running from my eyes. It's these small moments that remind you of how much LOVE you have for your child(ren). Not only did he hug me but then he let go one more time and gave me a BIG ole' kiss and went back to hugging me. I'm not exaggerating when I say this went on for at least 2 minutes. It made my day, to say the least!!!! For those of you who have rambunctious kids you can appreciate this.

On to Ethan's Future LOL! ****CAUTION****Pictures below have nudity!!!!!!

This is a picture of what we hope is to come....maybe the medical field:)

This is a future all parents fear.....STREAKING!
LMAO! Ethan's new thing is taking his diaper off and running around the house. He has a smile from ear to ear and laughs! You can't help yourself but to laugh with him. Then, you have to get serious, catch him, and put another diaper and clothes on him. We only hope that this is not a sign of what's to come.

Bumbleride or Bob???

Ok, I have had an extremely hard time deciding on which stroller I'd like to purchase for the boys. I'd love to say I don't need a double stroller...but I do. For those of you who have been with Ethan and I shopping, you understand:) Please vote on which you like better. You can click on the poll to your right. I've put pictures of both under the poll, you can click on them to see details. Thanks for your help!

Ethan's 1 1/2 years old

I can't believe my little boy is 1 1/2 years old. He has grown up sooooo fast that it's scary. He definitely keeps me busy and on my toes. He loves to run around constantly and climb on everything. He's for sure a boys boy! He also loves to play a few rounds of golf, swing the baseball bat and throw every ball imaginable. "Stop playing ball in the house!" brings a new meaning to me. I'm sure I will be saying that daily for a long time to come. We've got a LONG journey ahead of us and I can't wait to see what interesting things he has to tell and show us:)
Sweet dreams..........how innocent
Calling his Dad to make sure he's on his way home:)
Digging for sticks and dirt! He's such a BOY!

He's got what he wanted. Now he's mad I'm taking pics of him (you would think he's use to it)

Making a mess with the dirt while trying to chase a lizard

Turned back for a smirk

I guess he's telling me enough is enough!

Gosh I love him soooo much. I can not even think of how my life would be without him. He's such a blessing and a dream come true.

Paradise

For my birthday weekend Roger and I were blessed with staying at the Sand Pearl Resort on Clearwater Beach,Saturday to Sunday. It was absolutely amazing! Not only was it beautiful but we were treated with the best of service. We appreciated Susan watching and taking good care of our little man Ethan. Although we missed him so, I have to admit it was nice spending quality time with my husband. We were able to eat lunch and dinner out without worrying about picking up after our little monster. We also soaked up the gorgeous sunny Florida weather while sipping on our beverages of choice (Melissa, I did enjoy 1 virgin pina colada) by the pool. As Roger would say, "this place is paradise!" The sunset view from our balcony was stunning!!!!

I only hope that all of you are able to go one weekend and enjoy it as much as we did.

I greatly appreciated my birthday weekend.Turning 28 has not turned out so badly!

Ethan's Nana was so kind as to bring him by so he could enjoy Sunday morning with us:)
After we brought him for a swim in the pool and a walk on the beach,we brought him back to the room and gave him a bubble bath. As you can see he LOVED it!

Congratulations Quintin!

WOW! My youngest brother Quintin graduated High School on Friday. We are so proud of him. Now, we can only hope that in this day and age he finds a good job and goes to school to have a career in the future.

Sadly, what this also means is that I graduated 10 years ago:( Man what a way to make you feel old on your birthday!

Congrats Quintin! I love you xoxoxoxo

I cooked a very simple dinner last night. Who would have thought that Ethan wanted to lick the mash potatoes out of the pot?!?! What next? LOL

Apple doesn't fall far from the tree

After a long hard day at work Roger decided to take a little nap. This is what I found......Now I understand why I find Ethan under his blankie:) They are like two peas in a pod that are 26 years apart.
P.S. I'm done blogging for the day!

G Funk Ethan

Um, apparently Ethan thinks he's a homey! Check out these pics:)
Pull your pants up BOY!

Boys will be boys!

I think Ethan is part monkey! I was talking to Melissa on the phone when I realized Ethan was climbing into his toy box. LOL! He didn't seem to find anything wrong with it. He grabbed the toy he wanted, got a little stuck trying to climb out and moved on to the next toy. Can you imagine what's gonna happen when I have two little monkeys???

Really?

Ok this has got to scare you? I told you this blankie thing is creeping me out!

Cutest Kid

Sorry I can't help myself....Isn't Ethan just the cutest kid in the World? I find myself staring at him in awwwww! I love him so much. I can't imagine life without him. He's truely a DOLL! Thank Heaven for Little Boys:)

Going running? With a woman's shoe on?

He ALWAYS seems to amaze me! After dinner, before his bath, Ethan was running around the house. I was trying to get some addresses together, I looked over and this is what I found.

My little boy wearing my walking shoes. He only had 1 on and on the right foot I might add, he was trying to run in them! LOL Crazy Kid! He's so darn cute!

Blankie

In the last 3 weeks or so Ethan has really "softened" up and has been wanting his blanket that he goes to bed with. Most people say how cute it is! I on the other hand get a little nervous. He smoothers his face when he is tired with it. This is what I found Sunday night when I went to check on him. Good thing it's got holes in it:)

Our Little Beach Bum

We decided to bring Ethan back to the beach since he seems to enjoy it so much. Not to mention it was nice to get some fresh air:) His new thing to do this trip was to chase after seagulls, and throw wet sand! It's always a nice and relaxing trip. Ethan comes home, gets a bath, drinks his milk and goes straight to sleep...zzzzzzzzz

Don't mind Ethan's bruised face....he fell and hit it on the cement wall! (OUCH!)
